About
We’re a family farm located between Williamsburg & Bethel
growing Christmas trees & pumpkins and providing an outdoor venue for photographers. We’re in our first year of business and look forward to inviting the community out to our farm this fall.
The Clover Valley Farm journey began in 2022 when Nate and Jill purchased an old, vacant farm house on 30 rolling acres. They restored the home and their dreams came true in October of 2023 when they moved to the farm with their three young children and their dog, Blue. They have since added three kittens and a flock of chickens and guinea fowl to the family.
They are grateful that Nate’s sister and brother in law, along with their children, built a house next door. They love seeing the cousins growing up together. Nate and Jill have also had help from their other neighbor who was born and raised on the farm.
Nate and Jill are both physical therapists and love their careers, but also have a passion for farming which was instilled in them by their fathers who are both avid gardeners. Since moving in, they have been working hard to bring the farm, and the soil, back to life.
Nate has wanted to grow Christmas trees ever since his high school and college days where he worked at a farm that sold precut trees each winter. In 2020, Nate and Jill took the kids to a local farm to cut a Christmas tree and fell in love with the idea of owning their own U-cut farm. Since purchasing the farm, Nate and Jill have planted over 2,000 Christmas trees and plan to plant between 1,000-1,500 trees each spring.
Nate and Jill have always enjoyed growing pumpkins. This summer, they planted around 4,000 pumpkins and gourds, along with a small corn maze. They are excited to invite the community out to the farm and hope it will become a fall tradition for many families.
Nate and Jill have invited local photographers out to the farm to take pictures in the wildflower, zinnia and sunflower fields with the white barn in the background. They have enjoyed meeting the photographers and their clients and look forward to expanding their outdoor photography venue in the future.
Nate and Jill value growing plants and food organically. Nate has a certificate in permaculture from the Cincinnati Permaculture Institute. They strive to use regenerative farming techniques to improve the soil conditions and promote a healthy ecosystem. Nate and Jill value their relationship with God, spending time with family and friends, and love the time they spend together outdoors with the kids- working, and playing, on the farm.
